West Roose farmhouse sleeps 8, plus 1 baby in a cot. We also offer short breaks and offers on late availability are sometimes available.

West Roose is an impressive 16th century farmhouse with slate floors, wooden beams and a large log fire, set in magnificent gardens and situated in the peaceful heart of beautiful north Cornwall,with Boscastle, Tintagel and Bude a short drive away. The dramatic coast path, the moors, and the picturesque beach of Crackington Haven just ten minutes away.

What’s here

West Roose is set amongst rolling fields, the house exudes peace, privacy and tranquillity. West Roose offers the perfect family holiday and a wonderful escape. The house forms part of a dairy farm where visitors can watch (and participate in) milking, meet and feed new born calves, A homemade cake, basketful of logs for the fire and bunch of flowers picked from our garden will greet you on arrival.

Bedrooms

The house has 3 splendid bedrooms as well as a bathroom (with bath and shower) on the first floor: 1 double with adjoining cot room, 1 twin room and a large family room with 1 double and 2 single beds.

Facilities

On the ground floor there is a second bathroom with shower, a utility room with freezer and washing machine, a fitted kitchen with microwave, electric cooker and fridge, a lovely breakfast room and a grand sitting room/ dining room with a large open fire and a grand, antique dining table which has been part of the farmhouse for generations.

The living room

The living room is equipped with TV/ DVD and the second sitting room has a small library of books. The house is also fully central heated making it perfect for out of season breaks. 

The garden

In the summer, you can lose track of time luxuriating in the tranquillity of the gardens, admiring the plants and letting the children explore. The front secure, walled garden is equipped with garden furniture and a BBQ.  There is ample parking and safe storage for bikes – ideal for exploring the quiet country lanes around West Roose and for cycling on the family friendly Camel trail

Explore

There are footpaths around the farm weaving across a patchwork of fields and lanes where you can enjoy a picnic or observe the wildlife (including badgers, foxes, deer and pheasants). Furthermore, family pubs, a wealth of gorgeous restaurants and beautiful cafes and farm shops are all close at hand. You can even enjoy a short walk across our fields as the sun sets to the nearest pub for a drink or a meal!
